Drama fest 2012: Phantom Of The Opera
It's December! It's English Month!
In line with English activities is the much awaited Drama fest of the 4th year students. Each were assigned of different plays to be performed. Since June, we were all excited of the said event and last October, a representative from each section was asked to pick a piece of paper so that we will know what play are we going to perform. My classmate fortunately picked the phantom of the opera. As soon as we knew what play we are going to perform, different ideas were mashed up to create a great production. Most of our weekend are used for our practice and props making. Misunderstanding rises up, problems exist, temper goes hot, but a midst these circumstances we were able to handle those things.
As the day goes nearer, all out practice was scheduled every afternoon. As soon as I got home, I'm always tired and wants to sleep (hahaha). The day before 12-12-12, we consume all our free time for our practice and making of the props.
The day has come, now were all set and ready. Before we got into the auditorium we prayed at our classroom and our mayor who at the same time the director of this play gave some guidelines.
We were the first presenter. We were given 2 minutes to prepare our props. An introduction about the play was narrated and BOOM! THIS IS IT! I was assigned for the props so I was just at the backstage. People there were kinda so busy. I can hear SCREAMS, WOWS and CLAPS from the crowd. I was very overwhelmed. From the beginning, middle part and ending we stunned every crowd's eyes by our performance. We received good comments like they were having goosebumps some say they were amaze and many more. It was such a great day for us. In the end we ranked 2nd and we were so happy.
