Techie Kids
Who would ever thought a 2-3 year old boy or girl has his/her phone already?and knows how to play candy crush and opens his/her Facebook, Twitter or Instagram? Like, for real? Are they serious?
You know child nowadays are well versed of using smart phones, tablets and other gadgets (they move like a pro dude). Children now are hooked more on online games rather than going outside and play physical activities. Back when I was a child I used to play hide and seek, chinese garter, board games etc. with my friends and siblings, it was way more fun than how children (now) view childhood in their generation. There's really a great difference between 90's kids and 2000's. When you're a 90's kiddo (put your hands up in the air!), you can't find life when you're just at home, you've gotta at least sneak out from your parents and BLAST OFF! LET THE GAMES BEGIN! hahahaha and once you returned . . . o.O wait until your mom discovers how dirty you are and prepare your ears for some soothing sermon (but though that happens, we still love them).
After a whole day play with friends (though you may fall many times and get some bruises/wound if you're that clumsy) as you fall asleep and as you have anamnesis about the things that happened, you indeed felt joy. But compare to kids today? swipe to the left, swipe to the right, tap here and tap there, that's what they call "play" in their generation. Knowing that not all online games are good (some are really brutal) some elders allow their child to play though they know that it can somehow affect their children's perspective towards what's real and what's the right thing from what's wrong. Many games are about killing and bribery, and according to what I've read about observational psychology these things might be imitated by the child most especially that they are still not yet open to the world. Parents should look over their children most especially that as they grow old they try to discover things (well you know that's part of growing up). They must know that giving what a child wants by the time they were told is not good (for me). They will not feel any sense of achievement that way. The child must at least exert effort in getting what they want like, the parent must condition his/her child to have good grades before he/she gets what he/she wants. In that way the child will feel fulfillment in what he/she does and it may give the child an initiative that he/she must be good and do well before getting what he/she aspires.
You can never get things in a snap. That's what I learned when I was a child.
Well, I got nothing against the generation today but I'm just comparing two things all at once and let them realize how they missed one half of their lives while just mocking with their gizmos. ;)
P.S
I'm back! hahaha
